I was telling my friend yesterday how I need to find a babysitter for Elle that is not my family or her normal babysitter but it’s hard! First Elle does not warm up to people easily (especially women) and it takes her a while to even crack a smile if she feels like you are getting close to her. In the buggy at Walmart she says “Hello” to everyone but as soon as they get too close she looks at them like they are trying to steal the shoes off of her feet. However, I am thankful that my mom is usually always willing and able to watch Elle whenever Desmond and I need. This weekend she kept Elle so that Desmond and I could celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend instead of next weekend. I had an elaborate plan but it fell through so we just went to dinner instead. I had been wanting to try Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant but you know how it is when you just end up going to the restaurants that you’re familiar with. From the outside it looks really swanky but the menu was not super expensive. I made reservations just in case but I am glad I did because it was packed. Even though winery is clearly in the name I didn’t even think about them having a tasting room which seemed to have more people than the actual restaurant.
The food was uhmazing. They start you off with pretzel bread and luckily I got this picture because Desmond could have eaten the whole loaf on his own. I had the Italian Sausage Flat Bread with the Chopped Wedge Salad. Desmond had a chicken sandwich with fries. The thing I really liked about the restaurant was the fact that they will let you sample wines that are on the menu so that you don’t get a whole glass of something you don’t like. We sampled three wines but ended up getting the Romance Red which was sweet, just like I like. We were so satisfied at the end of the meal and I actually had a couple of pieces of flat bread to take home but someone (Desmond) left it on the table… That pretty much broke my heart. But my cuteness in my bathroom selfie though made up for it. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you have one in your area. It was well worth it. Hope everyone had a great weekend also!
Until Next Time…
