Weekend Shenaningans + Health Expo & Ciders and Sliders

I am exhausted. Elle has not slept that good the past like three nights. Everytime I get settled down into a good sleep she whines herself awake and by the time she settles down I’m wide awake looking for an episode of House Hunters that I haven’t seen before. Even though I would have loved nothing more than to stay in bed half of the weekend (because Elle wouldn’t dare allow a full weekend) I got myself gussied up and like always had fun once I got up and out.

For the past five years or so my mom, sister, and I have gone to the Richmond’s Women Health and Fitness Expo sponsored by CBS 6. It’s always fun to see different companies in the community that are doing great things and the services they offer. They also have cooking demos, different workout sessions, and this year they had a medium by the name of J. Marie. I’ve always wanted to experience seeing a medium in person. It was definitely an interesting experience. I’ve never been a skeptic but you do always wonder how that works. It was cool to see her help some people heal in a way by bringing their loved ones through. I almost cried myself from seeing other people cry. I know I know I’m a crybaby. She offers classes also through her website so I thought that was interesting also because I didn’t know that mediums did that as well.

Since we were already downtown we decided to stop by Buskey Cider in Scott’s Addition to take part in their Cider and Sliders event. We’ve been here before once and it was great. The atmosphere is really nice and the people are so friendly. They always have some interesting and tasty ciders and the sliders from Boulevard Burger and Brew were a perfect match. We shared a flight and ate too many burgers, so good thing I don’t believe in diets.

It was so cold this weekend and unfortunately we have to endure winter for 6 more weeks. I am over the cold. Unless it snows and then that means snow days and I’m down for the cause then. So basically I either need a blazing sun or blistering snow. The in between is not for me. Two things to note in the picture above. 1. Ya’ll see that puff! My hair is growing and I am so excited! I really never knew my hair could be so healthy and strong. I literally fall more in love with it every day. 2. The sweater I am wearing I got from Walmart for $3 in XL. I was pumped at the register like oh yeah. Got this XL sweater for the low low but it can be like an oversized sweater. #fail. It just looked too big. So note to self for next time I try and snag a deal. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Until next time…
